BetMGM and Voluum

The following document describes how to set up tracking for BetMGM offers.

Before you Start

In order to make those two platforms work together, you will need:

  • An active Voluum account
  • An active BetMGM account

Once you have everything prepared, read the following guide.

Voluum Note: BetMGM is the owner of many iGaming brands, for which the configuration is exactly the same and based on identical parameters and tokens. These brands are:
LeoVegas, GoGo, 21.co.uk, Royal Panda, Pink Casino, Expekt, Bet UK, Slot Boss, BetMGM

I. Add BetMGM as an Affiliate Network in Voluum and get the Postback URL

  1. In Voluum, go to the Affiliate networks tab.

  2. Click the Create button and select the Affiliate network option from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select BetMGM template and click the Next button.

  4. Copy the postback URL to the clipboard and paste it to any text editing tool.

  5. Click the Save button.

II. Set Up Custom Conversions

BetMGM supports three conversion types:

  • signup 
  • FTD 
  • FTD over a specific baseline 
  • any deposit

To track them separately, you need to set up custom conversions. If you want to track one conversion type only, you can skip this step.

  1. In Voluum, click the button to go to the Settings page.
  2. Go to Custom conversions tab.
  3. Click the Add button.

  4. Provide custom conversion name and value. Since BetMGM does not support any event type parameter, you can provide any value you want. You will then have to prepare two versions of the postback URL with both values of the et parameter. This is discussed in step IV.

    In our example, we have added three custom conversions:

    • Custom conversion for 'signup' event

      • Custom conversion name: Registration
      • Value of the et parameter: register

    • Custom conversion for 'first time deposit' event

      • Custom conversion name: First time deposit
      • Value of the et parameter: ftd
    • Custom conversion for 'deposit' event
      • Custom conversion name: Deposit
      • Value of the et parameter: deposit
  5. Click the Save button.

II. Create an offer in Voluum

  1. In Voluum, go to Offers and then click Create.
  2. Select the BetMGM affiliate network.
  3. Provide the name for the offer.
  4. Paste the offer URL.
  5. Copy the tracking token and add it at the end of the offer URL.
  6. Click Save.

III. Get postback URLs

Modify the postback URL that you have copied from Voluum for each event and provide it to your iGaming operator. Exemplary postback URLS should look like below
For signup:
https://tracking.domain.com/postback?cid={clickid}&et=register 

For FTD:
https://tracking.domain.com/postback?cid={clickid} &txid={transactionid}&currency={currency}&payout={depositamount}&et=ftd 

For deposit:
https://tracking.domain.com/postback?cid={clickid}&txid{transactionid}&currency={currency}&payout={depositamount}&et=deposit
